On October 29, 2024, muralist Juana Alicia collaborated with San Francisco poet laureate Genny Lim to install “Not in Our Name / No en nuestro nombre” in Clarion Alley, San Francisco, expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza. The Clarion Alley Mural Project (CAMP) has historically used public art to amplify marginalized voices, promoting culture and dignity over profit and social injustice.

The installation team, led by David Solnit, included volunteers Tirso González Araiza, Catherine Cusic, Eric Mar, and Jade Mar. Translations of Genny Lim’s poetry were provided by Carmen Hynds May and Alan Hynds (Spanish), and Carol Khoury (Arabic), with graphic design and video documentation by Andi Wong. Posters and banners of the artwork appeared throughout the Mission District in venues such as Acción Latina, Medicine for Nightmares, Dance Mission, La Reyna Bakery, Mixcoatl, BRAVA, and the Mission Cultural Center.
